Development of routes for the directed synthesis of complex metal compounds with polyfunctional organic ligands with useful properties
Systematic research in the field of directed synthesis of new environmentally and economically significant polyfunctional organic compounds and metal complexes based on them; the study of the laws of their structure and properties, as well as the search for areas of their possible application; modeling the structure of polyfunctional ligands in order to assess the stability of tautomeric and ionic forms, spatial and electronic structure, structural features of metal chelate cycles. As a result of the study, complex formation processes in solutions, determination of the stability regions of compounds, determination of the composition and constants of formation will be studied; methods of synthesis are improved; single crystals of compounds were isolated and crystalline and molecular structures were established; criteria for the reliability of quantum-chemical modelling of compounds of given classes are established.
